This course investigates what is happening in the world today, including significant events, behind-the-scenes causes, who's who, and future trends. It teaches students how to effectively gather accurate information by studying primary sources.

2. Basic Geography of Current Events
3. An Economic Understanding of the News
4. World Affairs and the Environment
5. National and State Government issues
6. Local Government Issues
7. Final Project

Assignments for this course can be submitted online or by mail, email, or fax. If you do not have reliable internet access the optional course packet includes bubble sheets to be mailed.


Students need to have access to resources such as current magazines, television broadcasts, newspaper articles, and/or the Internet.
