Prerequisite:

Three semesters of high school Chinese

Description:

Students continue developing their skills in Mandarin Chinese through listening, speaking, reading and writing; this course focuses on advanced development and use of pronunciation, grammar, tones, simplified Chinese characters, and cultural understanding. This course has a Conversation Café that allows students to speak with each other and with native or fluent language mentors as they put learned material into practice.

Unit 1: Hobbies and Sports 爱好和运动
Unit 2: Weather and Seasons 天气和四季
Unit 3: Describe means of Transportation 交通
Unit 4: Talk about Travel Plans 旅行
Unit 5: Review Units 1-4
Unit 6: Health and Medicine 健康和医药
Unit 7: Renting an apartment 看房和租房
Unit 8: Future Plans 未来计划
Unit 9: Arts and Culture 艺术和文化

This course uses Chinese Link, Level 1 Part2, Simplified Character Version and MyChineseLab (the online interactive workbook associated with the textbook).
