Description:This course covers art basics such as criticism, studio techniques, elements and principles, aesthetics, and history from the beginning of the 20th century to the present. This is the second course in a two-part art series (ART 041 and ART 043); however, either course may be taken independently of the other.

Paper Courses:Assignments for this course can be submitted online or by mail, email, or fax. If you do not have reliable internet access the optional course packet includes bubble sheets to be mailed.
Notes:Students must furnish a no. 2 or HB pencil, drawing paper (8½" x 11" or 8" x 10"), kneaded or white plastic eraser, and a ruler. They must also furnish two of the following: oil pastels, chalk pastels, colored pencils, crayons, inexpensive set of watercolor paints, tempera paint, charcoal, or black ink.
