Prerequisite:

Psychology (SOCSC 055) or equivalent.

Description:

This is a rigorous course that discusses in-depth information about personal and others' behavior. This series will prepare students to pass the AP Psychology exam for college credit; it is recommended that students take both courses of the series before taking the exam. It is also recommended that students take an introductory psychology course before enrolling in this series. This is the first course in a two-part Advanced Placement Psychology series (AP PSY 059 and AP PSY 060).

2. Neuroscience of Behavior
3. Nature vs. Nurture and The Developing Person
4. Sensation, Perception, and States of Consciousness
5. Learning and Memory

Paper Courses:

Assignments for this course can be submitted online or by mail, email, or fax. If you do not have reliable internet access the optional course packet includes bubble sheets to be mailed.

Notes:

The cost of the national AP Psychology exam is not included in the course tuition; students must register for the exam separately.
